PUT YOUR PROPERTIES ON THE MAP

As the most innovative property portal in South Africa, SAHometraders has just added an exciting new feature to our website – a map-based property search using Google Maps
How This Map Will Work For You
  • Visual Perspective – Potential buyers will use this property map search to fully understand where a property is in relation to main roads, other properties and amenities.

  • Easy as Pie - Putting your property on the map is quick and hassle-free.
Assist house hunters in finding your property by following these easy steps:
Step 1: Log into Agency Admin and go to Property Admin.

Step 2: Go to List all properties by Agent/Type, select your details and click Next. Find the property you want to plot on the map en click Edit.






Step 4:  To find the location of a property, you need to drag the map by clicking and holding down the mouse button while moving the mouse. Drag the map so the area your property is located in, is in the centre of the map. Now, zoom in by using the Zoom Tool in the top left hand corner. Continue to drag and zoom until you reach the exact location of the property.

Step 5: Click on the exact location of the property and a box will pop up showing the X and Y coordinates. Click on Use These Coordinates. Close the map and you’ll see that the X and Y coordinates appear in the relevant boxes on the Edit Property page.



Step 6: Remember to Save Property at the bottom of this page. Your property will now appear on www.propertymap.co.za. To view your property on the map, go to the property on the SAHometraders site and click View Map.

We’ve noticed that some browsers, including Internet Explorer are having trouble opening the map. Should you experience problems you might want to download a more compatible browser like Firefox, Chrome or Safari. Click here to download Firefox 3.0.12

Also, if you are wise and own a site designed and hosted by SAHometraders, you will as usual get an added bonus. You only need to load your properties onto the map once and it will appear on both the SAHometraders site and your agency’s site. However, if potential buyers click to view a property on the map from your agency’s site, they will be able to browse all your properties on the map using the search function on the left.
